I know I give The IHC a hard time, but sometimes they do get it right. A fan sent me pics of those t-shirts I've been coveting. Low and behold the back of the t's tell it all. Those crafty folks at The IHC are telling you to search 2012 across a number of search engines. 2012 is REAL and the search results support it.
Remember you heard it first from Charlie Frost, then from Google, Yahoo, Bing and Twitter.

Check out this letter a well-connected blogger friend of mine got from good old Soren Ulfert at The IHC. Looks like they're trying to ingratiate themselves with the press -- cause it arrived in a neat little package with a t-shirt and one of those huge 2012 bags. You'll see in the letter that they've been asked to spread the word about the election and the survival lottery. I have done both, Dr. Ulfert. When can I expect my package in the mail? PS, I'll take an x-large.

So long suckers.
The con may have another day in it but Charlie has no more days in him. All the Mayan talk has inspired me to gas up the winnie and continue on south to check out the ruins. Speaking of suckers, congrats to all the IHC Ambassadors.

I have it on good authority that The IHC will be doing another giveaway at 11am today. Location C on the map. If you're one of the first four to DM them when instructed, you'll be invited to join the IHC Ambassador program. They'll never allow the likes of me to sign up. So if you're one of the lucky ones give me a shout out @CharlieFrost on Twitter or Facebook me. I can't wait to hear what your ambassadorship entails.

I went to Comic-Con and all I got was a sunburn and this t-shirt.
I followed @TheIHC on Twitter and had my handy dandy map, as instructed. 
Alas, I arrived at the "pick off" point too late. I didn't get the big prize but one of those nice, naïve IHC people gave me a shirt as consolation.
Good soft, cotton blend. Nice holiday present for my nana.
The lovely IHC lady, and I do mean lovely, told me they'd be doing more giveaways tomorrow. Keep those maps handy.

If you've been reading my blog or following me on Twitter, you know how I feel about the IHC's survival lottery - tom foolery. But you can sign up for a lottery ticket at their Comic-Con booth and also enter into some raffle. My favorite thing they're giving away? Huge bags that you can fit a small village in. Perfect when packing for 2012.

I wasn't planning on devoting so much time to The IHC while I was here, but you can't script stuff better than this. I have it on the down low that Dr. Ulfert has reached out to some bloggers about The IHC efforts. I guess Dr. Ulfert forgot about moi self. Offended? Nah. Horse crap, if you ask me.

This place is packed today. You gotta see it to believe it. Or tweet to believe it, evidently. I got this postcard on the way in to the convention center this morning. 
I think it's cute how The IHC is planning an election and looking for ambassadors for the Post-2012 world. The oxymoron of that phrase cracks me up every time. But you'll notice the card says they're giving away gifts. Tweet away amigo. Probably some good stuff.

Just landed the winnie in sunny San Diego. Things are heating up around the convention center, and not just because of the intense solar rays. The line-up looks great this year. With only 4 Comic-Cons left, I guess they're pulling out all the stops. I heard there are going to be some Mayan experts on one of the panels. Searching the schedule now. But hit me back @CharlieFrost on Twitter if you have more info.
Also did anyone get the press release from The IHC this week? If not, check it out here.
According to @TheIHC on Twitter, the search for the Ambassadors mentioned in the press release will happen at Comic-con. Interesting. Will update you as I learn more.
